Administrative Assistant

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately-held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast.

GMC has an opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Geotechnical Division in the Birmingham, Alabama office.

Essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Communicates with office and field personnel on a daily basis
  • Answers, screens and forwards phone calls
  • Technical data input into Microsoft Office programs and other technical programs
  • Arranges couriers
  • Provides any other tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in an administrative role  
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Great verbal and written communications skills
  • Understanding and ability to read/analyze contracts and proposals
  • Must be very organized and detail oriented
  • Local to Birmingham, AL
